← TimeTree Sync home

Privacy policy

Effective date: 30 October 2026. Application operator: Ben Cooper, for personal use.

Purpose and data accessed

The utility reads calendar event information from an authorised TimeTree account and synchronises it with the operator's designated Google Calendar. Event data can include titles, descriptions, times, locations, recurrence information and other calendar fields needed to reproduce events.

For Google, the app requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope. That permission technically allows viewing and editing events across calendars to which the account has access, although the intended sync targets only the designated TimeTree Sync calendar. It may read existing Google events and create, modify or remove the events it manages.

Use and sharing

Calendar information is used to keep the two calendars aligned. The utility sends relevant event information to Google's Calendar API to perform this sync. It does not intentionally sell calendar information, serve advertisements, or share event content with unrelated third parties.

Storage and security

The sync runs on the operator's own infrastructure. A local cache, sync state, operational logs and Google OAuth authorization material are stored there to support repeated operation. Data remains until it is updated or removed through maintenance; no automatic retention period is promised. Access depends on security controls of the local host and the connected Google account.

Withdrawal and deletion

The Google account owner can revoke application access from Google Account security settings. Revocation prevents future authorised Google Calendar synchronization, but does not automatically erase previously synced calendar events or local cached state. The operator can remove those separately.

Public website

This information site does not accept calendar data, provide a login, or intentionally set tracking cookies. Its hosting provider may process standard request metadata needed to serve web pages.

Contact and updates

Questions about the application or data handling can be sent to the application's support contact: bencooper721@gmail.com. This policy will be updated if the utility's data practices materially change.
